Discovered by Dave Hauck and Kenny Orr thirty years ago in Stone Mountain Georgia. This company has surely
carved a name for itself in the handbag industry. It quickly identified itself of making high quality leather
handbags. The leather felt so soft almost like kid glove leather. Soft and palpable, they are very well designed
and have stood the ages of ever changing styles and shapes. The leathers were inspired by the ways of the old
tannery techniques in New England.
Handbags Stone Mountain are made with either leather or fabric. These are materials of the upmost quality and
will last a lifetime if taken care of properly. The simple styles and charm of the handbags are just a joy to look
at. Some have pockets on the sides and inside as well. Some have a satin lining and are made of soft pebble
leather. They hold a style that can be taken to work or to the beach, you could not find better bag. Handbags Stone
Mountain are known for their durability as well. Buying one today, you will carry it for many years to come.
Handbags Stone Mountain have a signature collection, such as the Stone Mountain Cargo line. This takes on the
look of the hobo bag; there is the Tulip Top Hobo, North South Shoulder and the Flap. They come in hues of red,
black and buttery camel leather. Each one has a single strap and a two pocketed design. They range from ninety five
dollars and go up to one hundred and fifty dollars.
Another signature collection of handbags made by Stone Mountain is called the Stone Mountain Utah. This one
features the Bucket, Three Compartment Hobo, the Short Shoulder, the Messenger flap and a few others. They start
out at about one hundred dollars and will go up as much as three hundred. These are made of soft grain leather, and
come in an array of leather colors.
The Stone Mountain Utah handbag is in this collection as well. Some are called the Stone Mountain Zip top
Shoulder, Satchel, and Kiss Top. These too are made of high grade leather and come in many different colors. Each
of them has gunmetal buckle and strap hardware. These will set you back a few hundred bucks to be sure. Last but
not least is the Stone Mountain Ashford. These tend to be the higher priced Handbags Stone Mountain.
Sadly to say Handbags Stone Mountain are no longer made in America, as China now sells a cheaper less expensive
handbag. As society dictates most fashions, the average woman wanted a handbag by Stone Mountain, but could not
afford them when they were made here in the United States. Now she can go and buy them almost anywhere for the
fraction of the original cost. China makes cheap knockoffs for many of the American manufactures now days. But if
you are lucky enough to have an original handbag by Stone Mountain, hold on to it, it is probably still
beautiful.
